It’s time for our Music Video of The Week announcement! The majority of you elected ЛУЧШИЕ ДРУЗЬЯ (“Best Friends” in English) by indie-pop band МЫ.
Daniel Shake not only co-created the song, along with Ksenia Khrustaleva; he also wrote, directed and produced it. He also made several other videos for the band. And yes, they are always this good. Only this time, they had a whole team participating in the making of the video.
The creation of the ЛУЧШИЕ ДРУЗЬЯ video also led to collaborations between people with a diverse range of talents – which makes the final video all the more interesting. Interspersed with “flashback” cell phone footage, the video projects us as viewers into the intimacy of the two protagonists, delivering a touching portrayal of modern relationships.
Watch the video to witness those (almost autobiographical?) moments of sincerity. As a bonus you will even get a sweet, funny little VFX surprise!
