Rupert Höller directed the music video for “My Grandma Says We Have No Future” by Cari Cari. It is our selection for Music Video of the Week!
It’s no secret that sealing tough topics in humor is an effective way to talk about them – often resulting in more resilience and strength. We are positive to say that “My Grandma Says We Have No Future” manages to do exactly that. The artist Duo Cari Cari wrote the music video – and paired up with the surreal comedy director/creator Rupert Höller.
Höller has a spectacular grasp on creating rhythmic, almost bizarre videos that draw you in amusement, while chewing on something bigger. Each frame and scene contributing to a deliciously tasty cake with a cherry on top – thank you.
Will “My Grandma Says We Have No Future” be nominated in BMVA 2024? Time will tell. In the meantime, you can still submit your videos until the fast approaching Late Deadline: 7th of March.
