It’s time for our Music Video of The Week announcement! This week’s selection is the music video “Du Sang Du Singe” by La Jungle.
For Belgian band La Jungle, Alex Orma brilliantly reinvents the zombie apocalypse. The ‘dancing plague’ truly occurred during the Black Death in the 16th century, when a mysterious virus made people dance nonstop until they eventually passed away from a stroke or exhaustion.
In the post-pandemic and war context we are going through, this new clip is not only current, but also beautifully mixes the comic, the creepy and the grotesque.
The video was created in conjunction with choreographer Brandon Lagaert and some of the most talented young dancers in the Belgian dance scene right now.
