FIRE – JOL | MUSIC VIDEO OF THE WEEK

FIRE - JOL (Official Video)

Funky Dystopian Exploration

Our Music Video of the Week spotlight turns to “FIRE” by JOL, with visuals produced by Gonkytown, an independent art and creative studio by Joel and Eri Eriksson.

The video transports us to a dystopian world and serves as an immersive playground for curious explorers. It showcases an up-and-coming AI band, with a cast of cyborg-robot-dumpster characters performing for an anonymous mass of what appear to be humans – who, at times, flash in wireframes under the club lights. Towards the end, a figure with chain-like limbs fills up the air with hollow, iridescent bubbles.

The music video is created on top of a live performance track of the song FIRE. Fun fact for gamers: JOL, aka Joel Eriksson, composed the iconic soundtrack for Battlefield 1942, and has gained recognition for his work across games, film, and pop music.

Check out the full video and see for yourself – do the bubbles burst, or not?
