Animalistic love and fighting
We are in awe by the madness in our Music Video of the Week selection: Lulu Van Trapp – “l’amour et la bagarre” produced by Hiersoir, Sombrero & Co, Anne-Cécile Jemin and directed by the “gore diva” Lucie Bourdeu. 🩸
Something relieving about the explosive wave of untamed, instinctive behavior portrayed in the piece. The initial roars serve as a primal invitation for the audience to engage, and the look in the vocalist’s eyes is piercing, charging intense emotions to the recipient.
DOP Angelo Marques has done a phenomenal job. An important element in his work – the gaze of the camera is on the receiving end of the violence, capturing the reaction which tells us about the dynamic.
“l’amour et la bagarre” is undeniably forcing a reaction. Thank you to the whole crew for the piece. Will they get nominated in BMVA 2024? Time will tell. In the meantime, you can still submit your videos until the 7th of March (Late Deadline).
